Kim Zachman is a freelance writer with more than a decade of experience contributing to regional and national publications. She has written for Dog & Kennel, American Bungalow, Military Spouse, Macon Magazine as well as dozens of regional parenting magazines.
Kim enjoys working on human interest stories and personal profiles, but is also interested in pets, home improvement, parenting, historic architecture, sports and personal achievement. She has a knack for pulling a story together in a way that touches the readers’ hearts or their funny bones and sometimes both at the same time.
After many years of juggling multiple deadlines, Kim has gained a keen appreciation of the challenges that editors face. She produces clean copy on time and within requested word counts. As a professional, Kim is not satisfied with the final product until the editor is.
Her educational experiences include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and a Master’s of Education degree in Sports Psychology from the University of Virginia. After college, she completed continuing education classes in creative writing, editing, grant writing, photography, and writing for magazines.
When Kim is not writing, she enjoys tennis, running, and reading. She lives in Roswell, Georgia with her husband, two daughters, dog and guinea pig.
